'The way a car is designed, I find very seductive and very sensual. It's something you really get in to. And it's fast, strong and powerful.'

With this strong collection Alexander Wang showed us again why he's one of the most beloved fashion designers. He combines everything for this season: sweaters become dresses on the bottom and the knitwear pieces become leather parka's. The Alex Wang-girl was a urban warroir, but still luxurious. I'll show you the details of this masterpiece later!

The growing demand from the Asian market seems a great inspiration to leading designers. We saw a set of colorful kimonos at Louis Vuitton and also at Miu Miu were the silk dresses overrepresented.

Also Ralph Lauren looked on the Orient for inspiration and with a vast majority of Asian and Asian-like models, seems the Middle East settled in fashion world.

Girl Of The Week: Olivia Palermo (week 7, 2011)

Related to New York Fashion Week I make Olivia Palermo, who grew up in the Upper East Side, this week's Girl Of The Week. She's a socialite/actress/model and she has a great sence of style. I love that Olivia is not afraid to combine commercial brands like Zara with high fashion.

Power Women In Powder

Donna Karan understands the woman so well and knows exactly what she wants. Pencil skirts, ripped tights and the looseness caused a retro but nochalant feel. Also the colors were great: earth tones, natural, greys and powder pinks made it sterile.
