Winter Wonderland

Just thinking about the weather we had a few weeks ago: snow all over the Netherlands. What would I wanted to have a pair of these fur boots or the burgundy leather jacket (under). Fortunately the snow is gone now, I hope for the rest of the winter. 

But don't worry, tomorrow I'll just talk about the summer collections :-) 

Lady Gaga + Jan Taminiau

Lady Gaga is always a pleasure to look at. Monday, when she left the Chez Andre restaurant in Paris, she opted for a dress from the fall 2010 haute couture Reflections collection. The dress with broad shoulders, a embroidered body of pale pink pailletes, a powder pink silk satin skirt and a wool jacket with a shawl collar.

She combined this gorgeous dress with pointed platform shoes from the same collection and Mykita x Marios Schwab 'Jane' sunglasses.

Jan Taminiau is well known for his use of original materials and techniques and his love for craftmanship. He studied at the Academy of Art in Arnhem and graduated in 2001. In 2005 he launched his own label JANTAMINIAU. And since 2007 he shows his collections (twice a year) during the Fashion Week in Paris.

Rouge (beauty)

Red lips are perfect for the holidays. They mean to me warmth and strength, but I also immediately think of Coco Chanel. In the pictures above you see a lot of diffrent shades of red: darker or more orange. That means a lot of possibilities!

Fall Must-Haves: Rochas, Nina Ricci & Cacharel

Rochas:

 Brown parka, ruffled rusty blouse, English country inspired skirt and leopard printed boots.

 Camel blazer, mossgreen jersey and salmon-colored pants.

 Leather skirt, oversized cardigan and brocade details.

Leather pants, striking (yellow) shoes and retro glasses.

Nina Ricci:

 Silk dress in soft and pale colors, combined with grey high heels.

 Little Black Dress (LBD).

 Masculine, militairy inspired, long, black jacket with some sweet details (think about a pink belt).

Leather jacket, flower skirt and long (knitted) gloves.

Cacharel:

 Flowers mixed with a leopard skirt in combination with a black cardigan. 

 Black boyfriend jacket, flower print blouse with black lacquer brogues.

 Mustard is the keyword.

Army green jacket with a black skirt.

Peg Pants Evolution

Grease-style comes back: with polkadots, leather jackets, bow heels and a small scarf. The hair is in a ponytail, with long earrings and a lot of eyeliner. And of course the fierce red leather peg pants (Balmain did a long red leather skinny)!

After: Balmain spring/summer 2011

Create an American chic look with a ripped and burned denim peg. Combine it with a loose tanktop or corset, an embellished jacket with safety pins or studs and your hair down. A very clean look, but very sexy.

Golden Girls

The color of this fall? Gold!

It's easy to combine with browns and white. And a touch of gold makes every simple outfit chic but sexy.

Grunge (beauty)

Dark purple or dark red lips, dark blush and loose hair.

Camel Coat

The camel coat dominates the catwalk this season. In diffrent variants, materials and sizes. Also the color vary a little bit: some are more yellow toned, pink toned or brown toned. So you've got a lot of choise.
